He co-authored the service to All Saints that shone forth in the Russian lands with proof. Turaev. Prison camps and exile undermined his physical state, but he was gifted with spiritual sagacity. In the end of his life, he received thousands of letters from the faithful every year, and provided his support to the former prisoners through his prayers. St. Bishop disliked the worldly fame and taught to undertake any good deeds for God's sake only. St. Athnasios, the Bishop of Kovrov was canonized as a Hieroconfessor in 2000. His relics rest in the Theotokos Nativity monastery in the city of Vladimir.
